ASIS Tampa Bay proudly continues its longstanding tradition of recognizing outstanding volunteer service through a newly reimagined honor, The Cooper Knight Award.
For many years, the Chapter celebrated its dedicated members with two prestigious distinctions: the Gerald W. Cooper Chairman’s Award and the Charles K. Knight Board of Director’s Award. These awards recognized chapter volunteers who went above and beyond in their service, leadership, and commitment to advancing the security profession and the mission of ASIS International.
Beginning in 2026, these two honors will be united into one The Cooper Knight Award symbolizing the legacy of dedication, integrity, and selfless service represented by both Gerald W. Cooper and Charles K. Knight.
Each year, this award will be presented to an exemplary chapter volunteer who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to ASIS Tampa Bay through leadership, innovation, or meaningful contribution to the chapter’s growth and success.
The recipient of the Cooper Knight Award will receive a commemorative award, and the Chapter will make a $500 donation to the charity of the recipient’s choice, underscoring our shared commitment to service, both within our professional community and beyond.
The Cooper Knight Award stands as a testament to the spirit of volunteerism and the lasting impact of those who give their time, energy, and expertise to support the ASIS Tampa Bay and its mission.
